What is RSS?

RSS is a group of web feed formats which is used to deliver news to users who subscribe to it. More and more websites, among them news sites and weblogs offer a RSS feed of the content of their websites. For users this is an easy way to keep up-to-date with the news of those sites.

How do I use RSS?

To be able to receive the headlines form a RSS newsfeed, you either need a newsreader program like RSSReader or a web browser with an integrated newsreader, like Opera.

When you see one of these symbols on a website, rss rss xml you can click on them and your newsreader program will automatically subscribe to that newsfeed. Whenever new content has been added, you will be notified, you can check the headline and click the link to the article to read it.
