Requirements
In order to use your email account with Opera, you will need the following information which can be obtained from your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or Web Hosting Provider.
SiriuS clients have received this information in their welcome email. If you lost the information, please contact us and we will resend the required inormation ASAP (SiriuS clients only).
You will need the following information:
- your email address
- your account name (for SiriuS clients that is the same as your full email address)
- your email password
- the incoming mailserver(POP3 or IMAP) address
- the outgoing mailserver (SMTP) address
Setting up your email account
Start Opera. Go to Start - All Programs. Locate Opera and click it.
Click on Tools - Mail and chat accounts.
In the Manage accounts window click on'Add'

Choose Regular e-mail (POP) and click 'Next'.

Now enter your name, your e-mail address and, if you wish, your Organizations's name and click 'Next'.

In this window enter your Login name (full email address) and your password and click 'Next'.

Opera automatically suggest the incoming and outgoing mail server addresses
Uncheck the 'Leave messages on server' option. Your mailbox would be full pretty soon if you would leave the messages on the server, causing new email to be rejected!
Click on 'Finish' to continue.

Highlight the account you just created and click on 'Edit'

Go to the 'Servers' tab and set the Authentication for the outgoing SMTP server to 'Auto'
Next click on the 'Outgoing' tab

In this window you have the option to change your e-mail signature.
You may want to enter your own signature or leave it blank by deleteing the default signature.
You have successfully set up your email account! Press OK
